September 19, 2023 (Cabot, AR) – Cabot Emergency Hospital has been surveyed by the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality (CIHQ) and has successfully met the requirements for Hospital Accreditation by demonstrating compliance with CIHQ Standards and the Conditions of Participation by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. This recognition reflects the hospital’s continuous commitment to safety and quality patient care.

Cabot Emergency Hospital underwent a rigorous unannounced onsite assessment on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. The CIHQ team toured the hospital, reviewed medical records, observed care practices, and interviewed staff and patients.

“CIHQ’s goal is to partner with hospitals to improve the care provided in our communities,” states Richard Curtis, Chief Executive Officer of CIHQ. “CIHQ is proud to recognize Cabot Emergency Hospital for achieving accreditation.”

“CIHQ has changed the stereotype of what surveys are to so many in the healthcare industry. They used every opportunity to educate us on what we needed to do to correct or adjust,” said Nicole McMinn, Chief Nursing Officer at Cabot Emergency Hospital. “This was different than any survey we have been a part of. I love that I work for a hospital that chose CIHQ as their accrediting organization.”

Cabot Emergency Hospital’s mission is to continuously operate in compliance with regulatory standards by developing an ongoing system to monitor and revise existing protocols, processes, and policies. The facility’s leaders from all departments are prepared and ready to lead the staff.
