CABOT, Ark. (May 17, 2024) – On April 20, Cabot Emergency Hospital hosted its second annual Teddy Bear Clinic at Cabot’s Municipal Complex Pavilion. Hundreds of kids in the community had the opportunity to learn about emergency services and the workings of the emergency room from first responders with their new teddy bears.

The second annual Teddy Bear Clinic brought together over 200 children from the community. The event provided a fun and interactive environment for children to gain valuable insight s into the critical role of emergency responders and healthcare professionals.

Each child had the opportunity to travel around the complex with a teddy bear provided by Cabot Emergency Hospital and explore the worlds of emergency services through directly interacting with the community’s first responders – Cabot Emergency Hospital, Cabot Fire Department, Cabot Police Department, and MEMS. The event also provided an opportunity for the students at Cabot High School to volunteer and assist the young kids with learning.

“We are honored to provide the opportunity each year to educate and eliminate the children’s fears when encountering first responders, physicians, and other emergency care professionals, ” said Nicole McMinn, Chief Nursing Officer at Cabot Emergency Hospital.

The neighborhood ER & Hospital is dedicated to the health, safety, and preparedness of Cabot and beyond. Cabot Emergency Hospital wants all patients, adults and children, to have no fear and anxiety surrounding medical emergency care as it’s committed to a patient-first, healthy community.
