Thank You to Our Staff on National Hospital Week
The month of May is dedicated to thanking all the devoted individuals who selflessly and tirelessly work to improve the health and wellness of their communities!
Nurses Week
Every year, Nurses Week introduces National Hospital Week. Nurses Week begins on May 6 and ends on Florence Nightingale’s birthday on May 12. Florence Nightingale founded modern nursing after establishing the first scientifically based nursing school of its time—the Nightingale School of Nursing at St. Thomas’ Hospital in London. Nurses Week was officially designated by President Nixon in 1974 but has been celebrated for over 60 years, starting in the 1950s!
Hospital Week
To continue applauding the amazing people who give their all to keep us healthy, the celebrations lead into National Hospital Week, from May 9-15. Each day this week, we’re celebrating the incredible professionals who make Cabot Emergency Hospital the flourishing place it is!
Thank You
Although the pandemic has opened our eyes to the immense responsibility medical professionals perform under, many will never fully grasp the weight of what they experience every day. We extend our sincerest gratitude to all healthcare workers.

We recognize and appreciate all your long hours, sacrifices made, and dedication.
