Emergency Medicine Physician

Dr. Mason is from Little Rock, Arkansas, and has been an integral part of the emergency medical field in the Central Arkansas area for over thirty years. He completed his undergraduate at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, then later graduated with his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in 1986. He continued at UAMS to complete his residency in emergency medicine in 1989.

Dr. Mason has been a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for thirty-four years and still continues serving his community with both leadership and talent. He has had extensive involvement in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) since 1989. He began serving as medical director for the Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services (MEMS) in 1989. Soon after, he served in this role for the Little Rock Fire Department (LRFD), North Little Rock Fire Department (NLRFD) and Maumelle Fire Department (MFD).

Dr. Mason is the founding partner of Medical Emergency Trauma Associates (META) which was initiated in 1989. He led this esteemed group of emergency medicine physicians to provide top-notch emergency care within many area healthcare facilities. Dr. Mason is also the co-founder of the Arkansas Emergency Physicians Foundation (AEPF) which evaluates the performance and outcomes of the care provided by the EMS services in Central Arkansas. Recently, Dr. Mason was also invited to join the National Major Metropolitan EMS Medical Directors Consortium.
